John Marshall was born on September 24, 1755. This year marks his 267th birthday! Join the John Marshall Center for a birthday tribute to the Great Chief Justice on September 23, honoring his founding contributions to America as a patriot, statesman, and Chief Justice. The event will include music, readings, and placing of wreaths, flowers, and coins and stones (traditional tokens left for soldiers and their wives). Feel free to bring yours to place. And don’t forget Polly! A birthday cake and Madeira punch reception will follow at the Virginia Museum of History & Culture.
